Week 7 Greetings
I hope you all had a lovely long weekend last week and had the opportunity to relax and recharge! With just three weeks remaining in the term, there are still plenty of exciting events ahead, and I’m confident that the rest of the term will be as engaging and enjoyable as ever. We are looking forward to celebrating the achievements of our students as the term wraps up.
I must also mention the absolute buzz at the school on the day of our Hinamatsuri photo shoot. It was a truly special event, and our students looked absolutely stunning in their traditional Japanese costumes. Their smiles and excitement were contagious, and it was wonderful to see such a meaningful cultural celebration come to life. Thank you to all the families who supported this initiative—it was a memorable day for everyone involved.
先週末の連休はいかが過ごされましたか。今学期も早いもので残り３週間となりました。まだまだ楽しい行事が続くので、生徒達は残りの３週間も楽しく過ごすことができるかと思います。学期末のニュースレターで今学期を振り返ることを楽しみにしております。
先週のひな祭りの写真撮影では、生徒達のワクワクした笑顔がとても印象的でした。素敵な着物や浴衣に身を包み、嬉しそうに写真撮影をしていました。ご協力くださった父兄の皆様、本当にありがとうございました。
NAPLAN Update
This week, our Year 3 and Year 5 students completed the Writing and Reading components of NAPLAN. They all worked incredibly hard, and we are very proud of their efforts. Next week, students will continue with the remaining components, which include the Conventions of Language and Numeracy tests. Please see the schedule below for the dates and times of these assessments:
- Monday, 17 March
- Conventions of Language: Year 3 at 9:15 AM
- Conventions of Language: Year 5 at 11:00 AM
- Tuesday, 18 March
- Numeracy: Year 3 at 9:15 AM
- Numeracy: Year 5 at 11:00 AM
We kindly ask that you ensure your child is at school on time for these important assessments. It’s crucial that students arrive well-rested and ready to give their best effort. Thank you for your continued support!
今週、NAPLANが始まり、早くも３年生５年生の生徒達は４つあるテストのうち２つを終わらせました。水曜日にはライティング、木曜日にはリーディングのテストがありました。来週も引き続き残りのテストがありますので、今一度スケジュールをご確認ください。上記の日程にはできる限りお子様が学校に出席できますようご協力をお願い致します。また、テスト中の入室は他の生徒達の集中をとぎらせる原因にもなりかねませんので、時間通りの登校にもご協力いただけますようお願い致します。
Rubbish Around the School
We’ve noticed an increase in the amount of rubbish around the school grounds recently, and we would like to encourage and remind our families of ‘nude food’. This encourages students to bring their food in reusable containers, minimizing packaging and reducing waste. We ask that students avoid bringing single-use snack packaging to school, as we aim to keep our environment as clean as possible.
We are also reminding students not to take any rubbish outside during breaks, as it helps maintain a tidy and safe environment for all. We would greatly appreciate it if parents could reinforce this message at home, encouraging your child to dispose of rubbish responsibly and to use containers or lunch boxes that reduce waste. Together, we can help maintain a cleaner and more sustainable school. Thank you for your support in this initiative! 昨今、校庭内のゴミが増えてきています。本校では‘Nude Food’を推奨しており、スナックやランチは、できるだけ再利用できる容器に入れて、パッケージは学校に持ってこないようにしましょう。学校内でもゴミは外に持ち出さないよう生徒達に声をかけております。保護者の皆様のご協力ご理解もお願い致します。
