Division Swimming

I would like to congratulate all the students from Auburn South Primary who attended the Division Swimming Carnival at Boroondara Sports Complex yesterday. 

It is a terrific achievement to reach this level of competition. The students who represented Auburn South were pitted against the best swimmers from schools in the Boroondara area.

The following students have qualified for the Eastern Metropolitan and Regional finals in individual strokes:

• Lewie L - second place backstroke 
• Fiona R - second place breaststroke

The Auburn South Relay teams performed wonderfully to score some outstanding results against high level competition. 

The Open Age Medley Relay claimed a nail-bitingly close first place with Lewie swimming the backstroke, Fiona swimming the butterfly, Aurelia swimming breaststroke and Oliver finishing off in freestyle.

In the 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay, our 10 year old boys team represented by Suyash D, Tom G, Oliver S and Benji V finished in third place with a superb effort and are unlucky to miss the qualifying for Regionals. The 12 year old boys Freestyle relay team managed a second place finish with Lewie L, Oliver A, Archer G and Lachie T all putting in an exceptional performance. The whole of Auburn South community wishes you all best of luck at the EMR Championships.
