Come and Try Days Launch This Week

The Gap State High School's Elite Volleyball Program invites primary school students to our Come and Try Day for Thursday, March 20th. This is the first of our regular sessions, with two planned each term throughout the year. These free trainings provide an excellent opportunity for students to engage with volleyball in a fun, supportive environment. All Year 3-6 students are welcome, and we encourage participants to bring friends along to share in the experience.

No prior volleyball experience is necessary - just bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!

Australian Beach Volleyball Schools Cup

We're proud to announce that the EVP will be sending 39 teams to compete at the Australian Beach Volleyball Schools Cup this year in Coolangatta on the 28th until the 30th of March. This impressive representation at the national championships reflects the strength and depth of our program.

Our athletes have been training diligently in preparation for this competition, which will be their first competitive opportunity of the year. We look forward to seeing their hard work pay off as they represent The Gap SHS against schools from across Australia. We are also appreciative of all the hard work that Volleyball Australia and the Gold Coast City Council has put in after ex cyclone Alfred to ensure the beach is safe and available for our young athletes to compete.

Strength and Conditioning Program

This week is the first week of the EVP’s new Strength and Conditioning program designed to enhance our athletes' performance while focusing on injury prevention. This addition to our training regimen represents our commitment to developing well-rounded athletes who can perform at their best while maintaining long-term health. The program is tailored to the specific needs of volleyball players and the developmental stages of our athletes. We are excited to watch our students grow stronger and more resilient as they progress through the season with a more comprehensive approach to being an elite athlete.
