Students are invited to participate in the Mathematics, Science and Digital Technologies competitions for 2025. The competitions are an opportunity for students to gain a measure of their own achievement in an external examination situation with schools provided with a computerised summary of results and information regarding students' achievements.
For thousands of years’ we have understood it takes roughly three diameters to make up the circumference of a circle not matter the size. What is hard to fathom is that the number never terminates. So, one way to celebrate pi was to test students on, who can recite the most digits of pi.
This year we invited students to recite the most digits they could remember at lunch in the QUAD.
Congratulations to Hendrix A, Harrison G, Sonny K, Shrivant M, Leo M, Mitchell M and Syrill S for participating and taking on the challenge.
Shrivant was able to recall 143 digits
Mitchell was able to recall a whopping 237 digits of pi!
Thank you to all who participated and we hope you enjoyed eating your gifted pies from the tuckshop, kindly donated by the P&C.
