Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

Last Friday I attended Catholic Schools NSW's annual International Women's Day breakfast. This year, we had the wonderful opportunity to listen to four religious sisters: Sr Patty Fawkner, Sr Cecilia Joseph, Sr Libby Rogerson, and Sr Mary Walsh. Their decades of teaching, caring and spiritual outreach exemplify the spirit of service that has characterised Catholic Education in this country for over 200 years. Australia would have been at a great loss without them.

Catholic Education aspires beyond the heights of knowledge and wisdom - we educate for eternity. In the words of Sr. Cecilia Joseph, 'It's about leading young people, it's about leading families, it's about leading one another to heaven, that's the ultimate goal of Catholic education.'

It was lovely to celebrate not only the women on the panel but also the many other religious women whose lives are dedicated to education. Theirs is a legacy of inspiration and hope.

SCS 2025 COMMISSIONING MASS

Last night we celebrated St Aidan's new teachers and new executive members at the Sydney Catholic School's 2025 Commissioning Mass at St Mary's Cathedral. Congratulations to Ms Di Maggio, Mrs Smithson, Mrs O'Kane, Miss Hinds and Miss Raptis. St Aidan's are blessed to have you on our staff.

May this year be one of GOODNESS, TRUTH and BEAUTY.

Take care and God Bless.

Kind regards,

Rachel Baker
