Foundation Family Fun Morning

On Tuesday, 25th February, our Foundation students enjoyed a fun-filled extravaganza during their 'Family Fun' morning. Engaging in a variety of exciting games, the students showed incredible resilience and sportsmanship. It was heartwarming to see so many families come together to participate and share in the joy of the event. We are eager to see the continued growth and achievements of our Foundation students throughout the year!

Year 6 2025 Shirt Design

The design for the 2025 Year 6 shirt was created by Nika, Luke, and Shlok. The snake featured on the front was chosen by Nika, as it holds significant meaning in Indigenous culture, symbolising creativity, strength, and community. The transition from dark blue to light blue was selected by Shlok to reflect the colours of Maramba Primary School. Lastly, the boomerang and river, chosen by Luke, have deep cultural significance: the boomerang was traditionally used by Aboriginal people for hunting, while the river provided an essential source of food, particularly fish.

This design captures the essence of our Year 6 journey and the connection to both the school's values and Indigenous heritage.

2025 Leaders Badge Presentation & Harmony Day Assembly

On Friday, 21st March at 9:00am, we will hold a special badge presentation for our 2025 leaders. We are excited to announce that our local Member of Parliament, MP Belinda Wilson, will be joining us to present the badges. We will have morning tea for our community after assembly and all visitors are invited to attend.

In addition, we will celebrate Harmony Day on the same day with a combined assembly. Students are invited to participate by wearing one of the following:

  • Cultural or traditional attire
  • Orange clothing, symbolizing harmony
  • Maramba school uniform

We look forward to celebrating both our leaders and the spirit of Harmony Day together.

NAPLAN 2025 Information

The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is an annual literacy and numeracy assessment for students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9. It is the only national assessment that all Australian students have the opportunity to undertake. As students progress through their school years, it is essential to track how well they are developing key skills in reading, writing, and numeracy.

NAPLAN testing will begin on Wednesday, March 12th. Students in Years 3 and 5 will complete the following tests:

  • Writing Test
  • Reading Test
  • Language Conventions Test
  • Mathematics Test

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher.

The School Colour Run Has Officially Launched!

We are excited to announce that registrations for the Colour Run are now open and so many profiles have already been created! Students should have received their information pamphlet, detailing everything you need to know about this fun event.

The Colour Run will take place on April 3rd, 2025, so mark your calendars!

So far, we have raised over $4000—and that means four lucky teachers will be getting slimed! It is all for a great cause, and we cannot wait to see everyone get involved.
