As we look back over the past fortnight, one strong and consistent theme continues to shine through: community.
It is nothing short of inspiring to witness the way our students continue to thrive, grow, and flourish within such a supportive and caring environment. Every interaction, activity, and shared experience highlights the strength and value of our school community—where students, families, and staff come together to create something truly special.
From our recent visit to the hostel—where students not only connected with others but also displayed maturity, empathy, and genuine care—to the dedicated volunteers who generously give their time to run Breakfast Club each fortnight, the spirit of giving and togetherness is clear. These acts, while seemingly small, leave a lasting impression and help build a strong foundation for lifelong values.
Our flourishing school garden is another example of what can be achieved when we work together. It continues to thrive thanks to the ongoing efforts of students and staff who take pride in nurturing it. It’s more than just a garden—it’s a space for learning, connection, and growth.
And of course, a huge thank you must go to everyone who contributed to our recent school event, where we successfully catered for around 90 people. The event was a celebration of all that we are: inclusive, resilient, hard-working, and united. Events like these remind us of how powerful collaboration can be when we all pull together for a shared purpose.
Each of these moments adds not only to our calendar but to the culture and heart of our school. They serve as a reminder that community isn't just something we talk about—it’s something we live, every day.
What a wonderful afternoon we had! It was truly impressive to see such a fantastic turnout, and heartwarming to feel the love and witness the excitement as everyone enjoyed a bit of downtime and quality time with their loved ones.
A massive thank you to all the staff, students, and families who came together to make this day such a success.
We are proud of our Library for Littlies program! Running every Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 9:30, this special session is always a highlight of our week. We sincerely thank all the families who attend and help make it such a wonderful and engaging event.
A Massive Thank You to Wedderburn College
A huge shout-out to Mr Forest and the wonderful staff and students of Wedderburn College for once again inviting us—free of charge—to attend the ALPHA Show this year.
It is always a highlight on our calendar and a memorable experience that our students truly cherish. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity and the generosity extended to us.
Our close partnership with Wedderburn College is something we deeply value, and we look forward to continuing to work alongside you in the spirit of collaboration and shared learning.
Next week is Education Week, and we have a fantastic line-up of events planned to celebrate learning, community, and connection.
Here’s what’s happening:
It’s shaping up to be a busy and exciting week, and we can’t wait to share it with you!
Lunchtime activities play an important role in supporting students’ overall wellbeing and development at school. These activities give students the chance to relax, recharge, and connect with others in a positive environment. Whether it’s sport, music, art, or a quiet space to read or play games, lunchtime programs help meet the diverse interests and needs of students.
By offering structured options during the break, schools can help reduce boredom, conflict, and negative behaviours in the playground. These activities also give students the opportunity to build social skills, form friendships, and develop a sense of belonging — all of which contribute to better mental health and improved engagement in the classroom.
For some students, lunchtime activities are a safe and supportive space where they feel included and valued. This can make a big difference to their confidence and motivation. Overall, providing engaging lunchtime options supports both learning and wellbeing, helping students thrive at school.
