Miss Deane - Junior Classroom Teacher

What a busy fortnight it have been in the Prep - Grade 2 room. Well done to all the junior room students who went on camp all of you were amazing and Miss Deane had the best time because of it.

Literacy this week, we have been smashing though our lessons, learning about verbs and nouns in both our reading and writing. The grade 1's and 2's have been working on the diagraph 'ay' and 'ai', learning about when to use which on in a word. Preps, have successfully learnt the first 8 letters of the IinitaLit program and have even begun learning the tricky words 'I', 'my' and 'the'.

Maths, has had a huge focus on Place Value. Students have been learning about how to convert ones into tens using different concrete materials.
