Senior Report
Miss Langley - Senior Classroom Teacher
Over the past fortnight, our class has been busy exploring a variety of topics across different subjects. In Literacy, we focused on writing recounts, combining both personal and factual elements to describe our recent camp experience. We learned how to structure our writing effectively by including emotions, sensory details, and factual information to give a complete and engaging recount. This helped us to reflect on our own experiences while also practicing clear and accurate reporting of events.
In Numeracy, we have been learning about equivalent fractions and how to convert decimals into percentages. These concepts have helped us understand how numbers can be represented in different ways and how they are used in real-life contexts.
In Integrated Studies and Science, we’ve been exploring Geography and living things. We’ve learned about different environments, how living organisms adapt to their surroundings, and the importance of biodiversity. It’s been an exciting fortnight full of hands-on learning and discovery!
It has also been great to have our School Chaplain, Megan back at school and working with the students in their Resilience Project lesson on a Wednesday.
