Kitchen Classroom

Welcome back to the Kitchen Classroom for Term 2.

This term, week 1 and 2 the students made the traditional Anzac biscuits that were thoroughly enjoyed by both the students and staff.

Week 3 the year 3 - 6 students cooked curried corn fritters accompanied with a crispy garden salad.  It was fantastic to be able to start to use the produce from the garden.  We harvested the lettuce, silver beet and cucumber.  Thank you Denise!

This week the year 1 and 2 students will also be making the curried corn fritters.

The Foundation students will have their very first lesson in the Kitchen Classroom starting with knife skills cutting soft fruits to make their fruit skewers.

Further into term 2 the years F-2 will continue to better their knife skills and understand what each piece of equipment is used for in the kitchen.

Years 3-6 will gain further understanding how to read a recipe and gain leadership skills guiding their team to produce delicious food.

Thank you to the parents/grandparents who have kindly volunteered their time to help me in the Kitchen Classroom this term it is very much appreciated.
