Yaama,
Thank you to our Stage 3 students who recently took visitors attending the AEA Retreat on a tour around our school. During this tour, our special place 'Walaay Wii' was showcased and the students also presented some of their work completed during Cultural Groups. The feedback from our visitors was that our students were very responsible, respectful, and showed great leadership skills.
Wii Gaay Learning Hub 1 will be held in week 8 in Armidale. The Wii Gaay students will stay at the University of New England and participate in workshops throughout the week. All the workshops align with this year's NAIDOC Week theme, The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy.
This is a gentle reminder that all notes are now due back. Please send them in to the front office ASAP. Thank you to the families that have already attended to this.
NAIDOC Week this year will be celebrated in the last week of this term. Events are yet to be finalised, but watch this space for updates.
Yaluu,
Miss Kim Taggart - Aboriginal Education Assistant
