Loving God,
We thank you for gifting us with Pope Leo to lead our Church.
Grant him wisdom and courage as he guides us in faith and love.
May the Holy Spirit inspire his words and actions,
that he may be a shepherd who cares for all your people,
especially the young and those in need.
Bless him with strength, good health, and peace in his heart.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen.
Habemus Papam!
This week, we joyfully welcomed our new Pope, Pope Leo XIV. The election of a new Pope is a significant moment for Catholics worldwide, and we share in the excitement and hope for his leadership.
Our hearts are full of joy as we continue this Jubilee Year as Pilgrims of Hope led by Pope Leo.
Our diocese celebrated the solemn ordination of the 11th Bishop of the Diocese of Armidale, Bishop Peter Murphy on the 8th of May. The Cathedral overflowed with people from across the dioceses of Armidale, Wagga Wagga and beyond, with staff and students from our diocesan schools represented both in person, and watching over the livestream.
We are so excited to welcome Bishop Murphy to our diocese and look forward to working together for a hope filled future.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all the wonderful mothers, aunts, grandmothers, and special women in our students' lives who joined us for our Mother's Day liturgy, classroom visits, and morning tea. It was such a joy to have you share in this special morning with us! Your presence made the occasion truly memorable, and we hope you felt the love and appreciation from your children and our school community. Thank you for all that you do!
