Snapshots from Springvale

Welcome to Term 2! It’s been wonderful to return to school last week and hear all about the exciting things our students and their families got up to over the holidays. From celebrating Eid and Easter to visiting fun places like the Zoo and trampoline parks, there was no shortage of memorable moments. Many students also spent time relaxing at home, which is exactly what holidays are for.  Our teachers also made the most of their break, enjoying some well-deserved rest and recharging for the busy term ahead, while also catching up on a bit of work to prepare for Term 2.

Last week, the SC Hub hosted a special Eid celebration, bringing our school community together to enjoy each other's company and indulge in some delicious food. It was fantastic to see so many parents and staff joining in the festivities.

The term ahead term promises to be full of exciting special events and new learning opportunities for our students. When I visited classrooms on the first day back, I was very impressed at how settled and engaged all the students were already. I witnessed some amazing letters and sounds practice in the FLC, ordering numbers in the JLC, rounding numbers in the MLC, learning about the ANZACs and informative text writing in the SLC. If Week 1 was anything to go by, I am certain that our students will continue to have an amazing term of learning and growth.

I’m looking forward to hearing about all their achievements in the months to come!
