Symphonia Jubilate – Orchestras & Ensembles for Students (2026)

Symphonia Jubilate offers orchestral ensembles for NSW public school students in Years 3–12. The Symphonia welcome players of violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp, flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, French horn, tuba, baritone horn/euphonium, percussion and recorder. There is no minimum level of ability and no auditions, as the goal is to foster a safe and encouraging environment in which students can learn to have fun playing music together.

Ensembles include the Secondo Orchestra (primary school), Flauto Dolce (recorder),and Pizzicato (beginner strings). These are a wonderful opportunity for young musicians to build confidence, develop ensemble skills, and enjoy making music together in a supportive environment.

Rehearsals are held on three Saturday afternoons each school term at Hornsby West Public School, and students have the opportunity to perform in 2–4 concerts each year.
