Principal Message

Dear Kildare Community,

As term one draws to a close, I look back with gratitude for all of the staff and students in our community. This term has been a whirlwind of growth. From the nervous excitement of our Year 7s to the focused determination of our senior students, we have seen our students live out the College values of Faith, Learning, Care and Justice. From the sporting field to the classroom, at carnivals and community days, and through the generous contributions to our Lenten Caritas fundraising initiative, our students have shown they are more than learners, but are young people of faith in action.

This weekend, the Church celebrates Easter, the death and resurrection of Jesus. This is the most important time in the Christian liturgical calendar. Our College celebrated Easter with a Liturgy this morning where we reflected on the sacrifice Jesus made for humanity through a powerful portrayal of the Stations of the Cross by our senior Drama students. For families wanting to know more about the meaning of Easter, or our Catholic faith in general, I would encourage you to have a look at document created by the Council of Catholic School Parents - ‘Our Catholic Faith’. Our Easter Liturgy today was followed by a short assembly where our new Year 10 and 11 SRC members were inducted. Congratulations to all of these students.

As we head into the Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday services, I encourage all our families to take a breath. In our fast-paced world, the Easter break is a rare "Sabbath" moment. It is an invitation to:

  1. Disconnect from the digital noise.
  2. Reconnect with loved ones over a shared meal.
  3. Reflect on the transformative power of forgiveness and fresh starts.

"Behold, I make all things new." — Revelation 21:5

Have a safe and restful holiday period. We look forward to welcoming all students back on Monday 20 April for Term 2.
