District & Division Swimming Carnival

On Monday 2nd March, 26 students from Years 3–6 represented our school at the Heidelberg District Swimming Carnival held at the Northcote Aquatic Centre.
Despite a drizzly start to the day, it was a fantastic event with students demonstrating great effort, sportsmanship and enthusiasm in the pool. All students should be very proud of how they represented the school, and it was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the experience and supporting their teammates.
A big thank you to the teachers who assisted on the day and helped ensure the carnival ran smoothly. We would also like to acknowledge Neesha Valvo and Marita Anderson for their support in helping run the swimming trials leading up to the event.
Following the District Carnival, our 9/10 Girls 4 × 50m Freestyle Relay Team qualified for the Banyule Division Swimming Carnival held on Thursday 12th March at the Oak Park Sports and Aquatic Centre.
Congratulations to the following students who represented our school at the Division level:
Zoe T, Mia M, Ellie B and Quinn H
The girls did an excellent job competing against strong opposition and finished 5th overall. Reaching the Division stage is a fantastic achievement and we are very proud of their efforts.
Well done to all students involved in this year’s swimming events.
