Prep Update

Upcoming learning: Term 3 Weeks 6 & 7.

During the next fortnight, Prep students will be undertaking learning in the following areas:

Reading	Students will learn to recognise the digraphs 'ch' and 'th'. Students will explore non-fiction texts and discuss their features.
Writing	Students will explore information reports and begin to write simple reports about Australian animals including information about their appearance, habitat and diet.
Maths	Students will explore the concept of subtraction using the counting back strategy.
Inquiry	Our topic this term is Australian Animals. Week 6- Students will learn about mammals and their features. Week 7- Students will build on their learning from their excursion to Moonlit Sanctuary.
Social and Emotional	Students will learn a range of strategies to help them facilitate sharing in the classroom and in school yard.

Please make sure your child arrives at school on time to ensure they have a smooth transition into the classroom and don't miss the beginning of the learning session.
Fathers and Special Others Stall- Wed 28th & Thurs 29th – Vouchers can be purchased through Compass. No cash to be brought to school.
Fathers and Special Others Breakfast- Friday 30th on the Basketball court from 8am.
