Chess Tournament

On Tuesday 13th August, Chess players participated in a teams tournament held at Clarendon College. BHS took 4 teams to the event.

BHS Team 1 finished in 3rd place overall, pipped by half a point by Mt Clear for 2nd place.

After 7 games BHS 1 scores were:

Lucas Ware (5 wins)

Sam Song (5)

Nuaym Haque (4.5)

Jace Murray (4)

Maximus Thekkan (4)

BHS Team 1 qualifies for the Chess Victoria State Final in October.

The other BHS Teams all performed admirably against a strong field finishing in 6th, 7th & 8th place respectively. 

It's great opportunity for students to represent the school in an interest they love.
