Year 12 Outdoor Ed

Falls Creek Snow Camp

This year's Year 12 Outdoor Education camp took us to the breathtaking alpine region of Falls Creek, where students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a unique winter wonderland. The camp was packed with excitement, learning and plenty of snow-based activities that tested their skills and resilience.

The highlight of the camp was undoubtedly the time spent on the slopes. Students had the chance to try their hand at both snowboarding and skiing, with the level of experience ranging from beginners to more seasoned participants. Despite the varying skill levels, everyone shared a common goal: to have fun and enjoy the snow. For some, it was their first time strapping into a snowboard or clicking into skis, and while there were a few tumbles, the enthusiasm and laughter never wavered. By the end of the camp, many had gained confidence and skill, tackling more challenging runs and enjoying the exhilarating rush of carving through fresh snow.

Beyond the thrill of snow sports, the camp also provided a valuable opportunity to learn about the importance of the Alpine National Park. The Park, known for its stunning landscapes and unique ecosystems, is a vital part of Australians rich biodiversity.

This camp was a powerful reminder that adventure and learning go hand in hand, leaving us all inspired to protect the natural wonders we were so fortunate to explore.
