Yr 9 RAID Camp

Year 9 Students at Gisborne Secondary College go on RAID Camp.

From Wednesday the 21st to Thursday the 22nd of August, the Year 9 students at Gisborne Secondary College went on RAID camp in Melbourne. The trip was a jam-packed 2 days of educational and recreational activities that allowed students to explore new places and have fun with their friends.

Some of the highlights were visits to the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and the Shrine of Remembrance, where students learnt about art and history. Then continued with a breathtaking view from the Eureka Skydeck, and lots of fun at Strike Bowling, Laser Tag and a movie to finish.   On the second day, students explored the Queen Victoria Market, and the challenges of Escape Rooms, and tested their climbing skills at an indoor rock climbing centre. The sunny weather was a perfect for fun outdoor activities as well.    Everyone had such a great time and it was overall a super fun experience for everyone, as one student said, "It was an unforgettable trip. We had a blast and learned so much in just a couple of days!".

Gisborne Secondary College looks forward to more opportunities for students to engage in such enjoyable RAID experiences.
