Indonesian Updates:

This Term we farewelled Indonesian Language Assistant Arti Ati. Arti has returned to Indonesia to further her studies. We thank her for her time and wish her all the best.

We also welcomed Vannessa Kerenina to the college. Vanessa, an Assistant Language Teacher, will be working with Indonesian staff and students to support the Indonesian curriculum. Vanessa is from the capital city of Jakarta and will be working with us until the end of Term 4.

Looking ahead to Term 4, on Thursday October 17th, the Indonesian classes will have a Gamelan incursion. Gamelan is a traditional Indonesian percussion instrument. Throughout this interactive workshop students will learn about the importance of music in Indonesian culture and learn how to play a traditional song. Students will also have opportunity to use their Indonesian language skills in an authentic situation.
