Year 7 STEM

Congratulations to Rosemary Taylor, Charlotte Fleming and Imogen D’Apice who will be representing the College at the upcoming EmpowerHER STEM Summit being run by Wollongong University. Congratulations!

Year 11 Exam Timetable

Students have received their exam timetable for the upcoming end of Year 11 exams. Notifications will be linked to this document for ease of reference. 

• Session 1 commences at 8:15am - students must be at school no later than 8.00am.
• Session 2 commences at 12:30pm - students need to arrive by 12 noon.

THRIVE Academic Success Program

We continue to use THRIVE to invite guest speakers along to provide post school information to students. However with final exams for Year 11 around the corner we thought some of our Year 12’s would be best for some advice based on their learned experience. Many thanks to Claire, Jessica, Allanah, Caitlyn O, Matt, Nixon, Demetrios and Caitlyn S for their heartfelt insights. 

Their advice was varied and included:

• Take on board the feedback you receive, seek it out, use it to refine your responses.
• Be consistent- develop a regular routine. A routine for studying, a routine for downtime.
• Procrastination is the enemy- have a plan whether it is a to-do list or a study timetable, follow it with diligence.
• Use study periods wisely. It will free up more time at home for some down time, sport or other study.
• Be kind to yourself- develop a balance between work and rest. Have one night off a week to unplug and recharge.
• Don’t drink too many glasses of coffee or energy drinks before exam
• Sometimes you will get marks that are disappointing and use this as motivation to improve.

Year 12 HSC Language students

Our HSC Language students have already embarked on their HSC recently completing their  oral exams. We have students undertaking exams in Spanish, Italian and Greek this year and wish them all the best.
