A Special Visit from the Royal Botanic Gardens Team
We were delighted to welcome the wonderful team from the Royal Botanic Gardens to our school this week! They joined our Prep and Grade 4 classes to view the progress in our Micro-forest garden and generously shared their knowledge and expertise with the students.
The Preps enjoyed an engaging lesson about Indigenous culture, flora, and fauna, complete with hands-on activities. Our Grade 4 Indigital students also had the opportunity to showcase the fantastic work they’ve been doing in Minecraft, where they’re building a replica of our garden and creating future plans for a new frog bog behind the sustainability hub. The students also impressed the visitors with their work using LiDAR technology to create QR codes, which will be placed throughout our garden to educate and inform the community.
We are proud to have developed such a close relationship with the Royal Botanic Gardens, and we look forward to continuing this valuable partnership in the future.
