Prep Learning Reflection

This week most of our students have been involved with the Swimming Program. It's been great watching the students grow in confidence around the water. They've all listened to their swimming instructors, participated safely and have improved their swimming skills too! 

For Literacy we have moved onto the next stage of our Fiction stories: the resolution! In Reading we did predictions and retells, finding the way the characters solve or manage the stories problem to get to the end of the story. For Writing, we wrote our own story endings by coming up with some creative solutions to problems. 

In numeracy, we've been working on our addition strategies and have been practicing getting the first number ready then adding the second number by either counting with counters, or by using our voice! We've also worked on data collection and graphs. 

For Unit of Work, we've continued our Safety Safari, focusing on the people in our life who can help us feel and stay safe. 

There are only two more weeks of Term 3 left! It's been a jam packed term that seems to have flown by! It's exciting to see the students becoming more independent with their actions and learning each and every week!

Thanks to everyone who attended the Fathers Day and Special Person's Breakfast last week. It was a wonderful turn out and a great celebration of the amazing carers in our community.
