Group 6

Group 6 has had a wonderful Term 2 so far! We have been working very hard on our communication and practising requesting and commenting. Students use visual supports and AAC to request an object or toy to play with. Using visual supports students and staff comment on the item. “Funny” is a class favourite comment!

Swimming has been a highlight of our term; it is everyone’s favourite time of week. Students have been practising kicking, floating, and blowing bubbles.

We have recently completed a unit focusing on the story “Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?” by Bill Martin Jr. We read the story and practised matching the characters in the book. We then wrote our own version ‘Group 6 What Do You See?” Students chose an animal from the story and followed a predictable chart writing framework to contribute to a class book! We also made animal crafts! Everyone completed a tea-bag brown bear. Using black tea and dabbing the tea bag on paper.

We are very proud of everyone’s hard work this term. Thank you to the families for your continuing support!
