Arts Day

Date: Thursday 19 June 

Theme: ‘Be Fearless – Unleash Your Emotions’ 

During the middle session of Arts Day, students will choose from a variety of workshops from stage combat throughout to Yoga in Chinese. 

 

We are pleased to welcome back Jess Ryan, who will be leading a Musical Theatre Workshop based on ‘Alice in Wonderland’. 

“We will explore integrating staging, movement, character and song to create a performance from ‘Alice in Wonderland’. We will look at building our characters from the inside out and embodying the text.” - Jess Ryan

We are delighted to share the exciting news announced at Assembly this week, our 2026 College Musical will be Alice in Wonderland!

 

This much-loved classic promises to be a vibrant and whimsical production that will showcase the extraordinary talents of our Clayfield students. We can’t wait to watch our performers bring this magical story to life on stage.

Musical Auditions

For Students currently in Years 4 to 9, next week, we will be holding auditions for the upcoming musical. Please see below for the audition times and items you will need to prepare. 

 

Audition times

  • Week 6: Monday and Friday, both lunch times 
  • Week 7: Monday and Friday, both lunchtimes

Auditions will be held in the Drama Room.

 

Girls, please prepare the following:

  • Script: Alice, Mad Hatter, March Hare
  • Song: Alice - In a World of My Own
  • Song: White Rabbit - I'm Late

Boys, please prepare the following:

  • Script: Alice, Mad Hatter, March Hare
  • Song: Dodo Bird - The Caucus Race
  • Song: White Rabbit - I'm Late

 

Scripts will be a rehearsed reading of the attached scene. You may be asked to play any part at the audition.

Luminous Lunch 

A big thank you to our Middle School String Quartet musicians for performing at the Luminous Lunch held at The Calile Hotel last Friday. It was wonderful to see our younger students represented, and we truly appreciate your time and contribution.

Enrolments Tours 

Many thanks to Allegria Strings and Faure Flutes for performing during our Enrolment Tours this week. Your time and talent are greatly valued, and you provided an excellent showcase of what Clayfield College has to offer.
