Scone Art Prize

It was another successful night for our St  Joseph's Visual Arts students at the Student Art Prize and Members Exhibition in Scone last Friday week. With over 40 entries across all Upper Hunter High Schools, prizes were awarded to three of our talented Year 9 Art students. Natalia D was awarded second place for her acrylic painting, followed by Erica C and Olivia S receiving Highly Commended certificates. This is a huge achievement for their second term in elective Visual Arts. We celebrated their achievements with a class visit to the exhibition at the Scone Arts and Crafts Hall last Tuesday and enjoyed a drawing workshop in the surrounding gardens.

DioSounds

On Thursday 8 May, our DioSounds Ensemble sung, played and danced their way through filming the promotional video for the performance showcase on 5 June at the Civic Theatre. Standby to see the video once it's finished. The students can't wait to rock out on stage under the lights and full sound! Tickets are on sale now.
