Horse Sports

On Friday 9 May, St Joseph’s fielded a team of six riders for the Scone and District Horse Sports held at White Park in Scone. Overall, there were 145 riders across the age groups. Both horses and riders were well turned out and represented the school admirably. Over the day, all students participated in horse and rider ring events, utility and sporting events.

In what has been described as one of the most competitive fields seen at Horse Sports in recent years, we had several riders come away with ribbons, including James C who took the 13 yrs boy rider Reserve Champion and Ben C who took out the 16 yrs boy rider Overall Champion. Congratulations to both boys and to all the students who participated, which is so important for days like this to continue into the future.
