Canteen News
We want to extend a huge thank you to all the students for their massive support for the snacks! Our parent volunteers poured their love and care into making them. I have trouble resisting not to just take one myself!! A special shout-out goes to Mayada and Yingrui for their invaluable help with snack making this Monday. Their immense creativity and good heart truly elevated the presentation of every snack. On the first day, we completely sold out of candied fruit cups and most of the croissant toasties, with the remaining croissants happily finding homes on Tuesday.
In that note, if any parent has an easy recipe (minimal ingredients) for snacks that we can implement for the canteen, please do let me know. You can always reach me at canteenconvenor@chatswoodpublicpandc.org.au .

Volunteering in the Canteen
On Monday, I experienced the bustle of the canteen. Supplier deliveries during recess preparation time can be quite challenging, but this is nothing new to our amazing staff, they managed each food preparation task in an orderly manner! Our lovely Yingrui and Mayada also joined in the recess prep work after they finished making snacks. What an amazing team effort!
I also wanted to thank our volunteers who signed up and participate in the Canteen. Special shoutout to Aliya Hammad and Robyn Byrnes for making the canteen merrier.
The shifts are listed below, and we have two shifts per day for distributing orders and serving students. Even 30 minutes will help the canteen and community. We thank you for your time!

We are excited to announce that we are opening recruitment for the Canteen Convenor position for 2026!
For the past few months, I have truly cherished my time as a Convenor. It has been incredibly rewarding to connect with so many wonderful people – our dedicated school staff, amazing canteen team, and warm-hearted parents helpers. This role has really shown me what a caring and diverse community we live in.
As my child moves on to high school next year, I am looking forward to supporting them there. Now, it is time for someone new to step in and lead our fantastic canteen.
