Try Before You Fly is a free program designed to support travellers with disability, sensory sensitivity, or anxiety about flying. It offers a guided, step-by-step airport experience — including practicing check-in, dropping off luggage, going through security screening, and boarding a real aircraft for a simulated flight (the plane stays on the ground).
You’ll have the chance to ask questions, meet friendly airline and airport staff, and explore the terminal in a low-pressure, supportive environment. Whether it’s your first time flying or you’re preparing after a past experience, Try Before You Fly helps build confidence and ensures your access needs are understood before your actual travel day. The next event is fully booked, however to join the waitlist, go to: Adelaide Airport and Virgin Australia Try Before You Fly event Saturday 31 May 2025.
