The Rights, Resilience and Respectful Relationships Program at Derinya

At Derinya Primary School, we are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for all students. As part of this commitment, we implement the Rights, Resilience and Respectful Relationships program, as per the Victorian Curriculum.
This whole-school approach is embedded in every aspect of school life, from classrooms to playgrounds and staffrooms. It aims to create a safe and supportive environment that leads to positive outcomes in academic performance, mental health, classroom behaviour, and teacher-student relationships. Most importantly our students learn the values of being a kind and inclusive Human being.
The Respectful Relationships topics are taught over a two-year cycle, except in Foundation, where all eight topics are introduced.
