                                 Reconciliation Week

Last week was National Reconciliation Week. This is an event that is celebrated annually. It is a time dedicated to building positive, respectful relationships between Australians and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples' culture. The overarching aim of this period is to explore how we can best contribute to the reconciliation process.

At our school assembly last Friday, the students created a bridge of their artwork while considering the theme, Bridging Now to Next. Many thanks to Mrs. Osadnik for leading this.

First Eucharist Commitment Mass

Congratulations to all of the First Communion candidates who attended a Commitment Mass over the weekend of the 24th/25th May. They received a Children's Missal at this

Mass.

First Eucharist Reflection Day

On Monday, all of the Year Three students participated in a Eucharist Reflection Day. The children had been learning about symbols of the Eucharist, and part of their Reflection Day included a bread-making incursion, focusing on this important symbol of the Eucharist. The children also participated in prayer and collaborative artwork. They enjoyed a celebratory lunch with cupcakes and party bags. Their day concluded with a practice in the church. Many thanks on behalf of the children to Miss Heiberg (cupcake queen) and Mrs. Davies (party bag and lunch queen/ general organisational guru).
