Student Empowerment

This term, our students have been actively engaged in building their confidence, resilience, and voice through our Student Empowerment program.
Students in Years 4 to 6 have completed the Attitudes to School Survey, providing valuable insights into their experiences and wellbeing at school. They will continue to explore help-seeking behaviours and positive coping strategies, equipping them with tools to manage challenges and seek support when needed.
Our younger learners have also been busy building their emotional toolbox. Foundation, Year 1 and Year 3 students have been learning about managing fears, using stories, discussions and role play to better understand how to face situations that feel a little scary. Year 2 students have focused on help-seeking, identifying trusted adults and practising ways to ask for support in a range of settings.
Meanwhile, our Student Representative Council (SRC) has been hard at work gathering ideas and feedback from their peers. They’ve come up with some fantastic initiatives, and we’re excited to bring their ideas to life very soon—stay tuned!
Empowering students to understand themselves, support each other, and make their voices heard continues to be a key focus across our school.
