Term 2 Fundraiser – Cans & Container Recycling

Recycling is an important part of looking after our environment, and our school is passionate about sharing this with our students. This term, P&F is teaming up with our sustainability leaders to run a drink container recycling fundraiser.

The goal is to encourage the use of the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme and raise funds for new sports uniforms for our students!

Here’s how you can help:

  • We’ve placed red recycling bins on the east side of the hall and the west side of the main building (near both car parks) where you can drop off your eligible drink containers.
  • Please check that containers have the 10c refund stamp and, if possible, leave the lids on.
  • You can also donate your refund directly at a recycling facility by selecting “Donate” and choosing Bunyip Primary School as your recipient (or screenshot the Zone ID barcode above).

Have you got a large collection that you're having trouble taking to a facility yourself? If so, let the office know and we’ll arrange for a Parents &Friends volunteer to meet with you for collection.

Thank you for supporting our efforts to make a positive environmental impact and raise funds for new sports gear.

Free Food Table

We have a Free Food Table in the Breakfast Club room stocked with cereals, canned goods, honey, and other non-perishable items. Fresh fruit is also available, and parents are welcome to help themselves.

In the fridge, parents can help themselves to carrots or cordial (please note the cordial is past its best-before date).

Second Hand Uniform Shop

The second-hand uniform shop is also located in the Breakfast Club room and relies on donations from families.

Most items are priced at $2 each. Bags and jackets are $5 each.

If your child needs a jacket, don’t forget to check the lost property pile outside the staff room first!

Breakfast Club – Parent Helpers Needed

Breakfast Club runs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8.30am, and we need volunteers from around 8.20am to 9.05am to help with setting up, cooking jaffles and other breakfast items, and packing up afterwards.

Whether you’re free once a week, once a fortnight, or even just occasionally, we’d really appreciate your support. You can let the office know and they’ll connect you with a volunteer. Or, just drop in one morning and chat to a volunteer to find out more.

Next P&F Meeting

The next P&F meeting is Friday June 20th at 9.15am. All welcome!
