Specialist Classes

Physical Education - Miss Atherton
In week 5, all classes from Foundation to Grade 6 finished their mini soccer unit, which supported their ball handling skills/Invasion games knowledge. Each class reflected on their progress, and noticed how much more control they had over the ball this week. They also enjoyed a modified game of soccer, which was so much fun.
In week 6, Foundation to Grade 1 began their gymnastics unit, where they began exploring safe and balanced jumping and landing, and a range of different ways to walk and balance including backwards! Grades 2-6 began a netball unit that further supports the junior grades ball handling skills, and the senior grades Invasion games knowledge. Everyone learned to chest and bounce pass, incorporate a pivot, and shoot goals. Next week we look at strategies to defend!
Cross Country - Division
Well done to all of our students who competed in the Division level of Cross Country. Jai and Hannah Dobson, Harla Hansen, and Winston Hancock - you all showed resilience and confidence by competing in the next level against many other students across a lot of schools. Good job guys! And well done parents for supporting your children by taking the time to take them to this event.
A further well done to HANNAH who made it to the next level - SMR (Southern Metro Region). We'll be cheering you on from school Hannah, good luck!
