Physical Education Term 2
Cross Country
We’re thrilled to celebrate the outstanding efforts of our cross-country team this season! Cross country is a sport that builds resilience, determination, and mental strength—and our runners showed all that and more on the course.
A huge congratulations to Remy, Kale'a, Jack, and Ben for progressing to the Regional Cross Country Championships—the highest number of runners we’ve ever had reach this level! Their dedication to training and courageous efforts on race day are an inspiration to us all. Well done, team!
House Athletics Carnival – A Community Celebration of Sport
Congratulations to all students and families on making this year’s House Athletics Carnival a fantastic success. We were privileged to once again host the event at Lakeside Stadium, a perfect setting for a vibrant, whole-school celebration.
In addition to their participation in athletic events, many students played an important role behind the scenes by volunteering their time and energy. From assisting with equipment, to helping with results and cheering on their peers, students were actively involved in supporting the smooth running of the day. Their enthusiasm, leadership, and sense of responsibility contributed significantly to the positive and inclusive atmosphere of the event.
The positive energy on the day was unmistakable, with students actively engaging and enjoying their selection of events. This year’s range of activities fostered increased motivation and gave students more choice and ownership over their participation.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all volunteers and supporters whose time and energy made the day possible. Events like these thrive on community involvement, and we are grateful for your contributions.
Congratulations to all competitors, especially those who qualified for the District Athletics, to be held on Friday 6th September at Duncan MacKinnon Athletics Track. We look forward to seeing you represent our school with pride!
AFL Primary Play – Skill, Fun, and Footy Fundamentals
This term, our students have been participating in the AFL Primary Play program, led by a team of experienced facilitators. The program has been a hit with all students who have shown enthusiasm and teamwork throughout each session.
Designed to be inclusive, fast-paced and non-contact, the program provides an excellent foundation for students preparing for the AFL Gala Day—a fun-filled competition focused on skill development, fitness, and enjoyment of the game.
