PE

Just a quick update from the land of PE.

I was away for two of the last three weeks as my family and I were lucky enough to head off for a holiday in a warmer and slightly more tropical part of the world. To say it was a shock to come back to a Macedon Ranges cold front is very much an understatement. But I’m happy to be back and the wonderful Erin took care of everything for me whilst I was away.

The Preps in the full swing of learning the basic skills and rules of soccer. They’re doing an amazing job and are taking on all the advice Erin and now I have been giving them. In terms of not picking the ball up with their hands…well, we’ll get there!

Years 1-6 are in the full swing of Athletics and have had a week of High Jumping, which is always an absolute hit. High Jump can be a real challenge for many kids, whether it’s using the right technique to get over the bar or telling themselves it’s not too high and to just give it a go. I’m loving the determination and grit from all students, especially those who have found it to be a challenge. I’m so proud of all of them and by the looks on their faces, they’re proud of themselves, too.

Friday 27th June is the Year 3-6 Athletics Carnival, to be held on the school oval over the morning after Assembly. I’ve had a couple of volunteers put their hand up which I appreciate, I’d love a couple more!!

Have a great week!
