Time flies when we’re having fun in 1/2SM! Can you believe we are half way through Term 2 already?

Religious Education: Pentecost

This week we have been learning about Pentecost. This is when Mary and the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and given the gift of preaching the good news of Jesus by being understood in many languages.

As a class we discussed the importance of Pentecost and prayed that we too, like the disciples and with the help of the Holy Spirit, can be good preachers of Jesus and spread the good news.

National Simulataneous Story Time

1/2SM have been very busy this term. We loved participating in The National Simultaneous Story time on Wednesday 21st May at 12pm. We read the book “The Truck Cat" by Deborah Frenkel. To think that over 2 million students participated in this special event around Australia and New Zealand is amazing! Once we read the story we wrote about Tinka the cat and the special memories she had growing up.
