WEEK SIX IN ART!

As the cold starts creeping in, we are bunkering down and creating warmer moments in our art room.

Full scale projects are being developed by all levels and many different genres of art are being explored.

This week our Foundation students have explored the properties of the humble oil pastel.

IT NEVER DISAPPOINTS!

Combined with an introduction to the fabulous musical interlude of Flight of the Bumblebee, our littlest artists created the most fabulous scribble dance drawings, using their newfound knowledge of Warm and Cool colour palettes.

FYI...."Flight of the Bumblebee" is an orchestral interlude written by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov for his opera The Tale of Tsar Saltan, composed in 1899–1900. If you have never heard it, do yourself a favour, grab out some crayons and create a scribble dance whilst listening this this very famous musical piece.

Happy Creating Everyone and Stay Warm!
