Religious Education & Pastoral Care

Mrs Trish Mitchell

Assistant Principal & Religious Education Coordinator

Lord Jesus,

be with Pope Francis in his time of need.

Grant him patience in suffering, peace in his heart, and a swift return to health,

so that he may continue to shepherd Your people with wisdom and love.

We ask this through the intercession of Our Lady,

Mother of the Church, and in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

St Patrick's Day fun!

We had a wonderful time celebrating St Patrick's Day! Thank you to all of our families who made a generous donation to Project Compassion, CARITAS. A big thank you to Mrs Lisa Vile who captured the sea of green throughout the day.

Stage 3 Joey's Mission Team

Stage 3 students were asked to volunteer and be a part of our Joey's Mission Team - we were overwhelmed by the response with 40 students volunteering their time. We asked 13 of them to assist with St Patrick's Day where they made posters, spoke to the students each morning at Assembly and sold jelly, ice-cream and cordial at Recess. A big congratulations to these students who radiated the true meaning of mission! Thank you! We raised a huge $590 on the day! Wow! The other students on the Joey's Mission Team will assist with our upcoming fundraisers throughout 2025.

Colouring Competition

Don't forget Colouring Competition entries are due Friday, 4th April. Winners will be announced in Week 11.

Easter Egg Guessing Competition

Once again we are running an Easter Egg Guessing Competition, with guesses on sale each day at first break at school. Cost is 50c per guess. All money raised will be donated to Caritas.

Project Compassion

Project Compassion Boxes

Each family would have received a small Project Compassion box to keep in their home during Lent. The theme of Project Compassion 2025 is ‘Unite Against Poverty’ and reminds us that the good that we do today will extend and impact the lives of generations to come. It invites us to make the world a better place by working together now and finding long-term solutions to global issues.

We are particularly encouraged during Lent to give greater attention those who might be in need. One way we are able to do this as a Catholic Community is by supporting Project Compassion run by CARITAS Australia and over the next forty days of Lent we should be looking to make monetary contributions (big or small) to these boxes. We ask that families send them back into school in Week 11 of this term.

We are aware of many local families doing it tough given the current circumstances so prayers for those in need and random acts of kindness that don't cost money can be just as good as a monetary contribution!
