Footsteps Dance - Harmony Day celebrations
“Harmony Day is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all people regardless of cultural or linguistic background”
Footsteps have been working with our school over the past few weeks as part of out Harmony Day celebrations. Each year level is learning a dance to celebrate the different cultures in our school. These dances are fusions or hybrids of traditional cultural dance and modern dance.
Year 6 Camp
Lorne turned on the weather for the Year 6 students and staff to have a great time at camp last week. They went boogie boarding, learnt to surf, hiked and enjoyed beach activities along with having a great time creating memories with class mates.
Foundation Students writing experience
Students in Foundation used coffee filters as the base, textas to draw then water to mix to create a design. They then wrote about the experience.
Year 4 - Bike Ed
As part of the Health and Physical Education curriculum, students in Level 4 are participating in a five day Bike Ed course. Children are learning about different road rules and signs to obey as well as different bike riding skills. All bicycle riding skills are being taught at school then for the final session they will ride to Jells Park.
Foundation students Language experience
Let's blow bubbles! Foundation students learnt to use bubble wands then wrote about their experience.
Chess Club at lunchtime
