It’s been a very busy fortnight in PE! Here are some of the highlights,
Rangeview Primary School – Whole School House Cross Country 2025
Rangeview Primary School once again hosted our annual Whole School House Cross Country Carnival on Monday, March 31st, 2025, under perfect weather conditions. Students tackled a challenging course around the school grounds, finishing under our brand-new inflatable archway, generously provided by Noel Jones. Their determination and perseverance in long-distance running were on full display, and all participants should be proud of their efforts.
The day was filled with excitement and fierce competition, with Terra narrowly securing victory by just 6 points! An incredible four new school records were set, highlighting the impressive performances of our students.
A huge thank you to our dedicated RPS staff, families and Level 6 students for their support, encouragement, and assistance throughout the event. We also extend our appreciation to our Their Care and the JSC committee for their contributions with our Icy Poles donation & sales on the day.
These results have been used to select our District Cross Country team, who will compete in the Nunawading District Carnival on Thursday, May 1st. Best of luck to all our runners as they aim to take home the District trophy for the 4th year in a row.
Below are the final results and some photos from the event:

Hawthorn F.C visit
Our Level 3-6 students were fortunate to have a special visit from the Hawthorn Football Club yesterday! The students enjoyed asking questions and had the exciting opportunity to take photos and collect autographs. A big thank you to the club for coming to RPS!
Sporting Achievements
At Rangeview, we have many talented students competing in various sports outside of school each weekend! We are excited to share as many success stories as possible throughout 2025. If your child has had an exciting moment, we would love to feature it in the newsletter. Please email Mitchell.Clark@education.vic.gov.au.
Oscar J – Gymnastics
This week, we are celebrating the achievements of two students. First, we have Oscar J from Level 5, a highly dedicated gymnast who competes at an elite level. Oscar regularly participates in state competitions, often earning podium finishes. His commitment to gymnastics is evident in the countless hours he spends training each week. Go Oscar!
Dilly W – Artistic Swimming
Level 6 student Dilly W is a talented artistic swimmer representing the Eastern Sirens in Ringwood. Artistic swimming combines elements of swimming, dance, and gymnastics, requiring exceptional strength, flexibility, and coordination. This past weekend, Dilly competed at the State competition in the Figures and Routines categories. Next up, she’s heading to Nationals in April! Best of luck, Dilly!
