Year 5/6 FINAL ASSEMBLY: SPECIAL GUEST ATTENDANCEGiochi Matemateci del Mediterraneo On Friday 4th April, the Year 5/6s (gruppo Adige) will host our final assembly for Term 1. We are delighted to announce that the Consul General of Italy in Melbourne, Chiara Mauri, will attend this assembly to award the Year 4, 5, and 6 students who participated in the third test of the GMM on March 7th.

We look forward to celebrating their successes with them!Congratulazioni ragazzi, you are all fantastico, magnifico, eccellente!

Pranzo Italiano Club #1We are thrilled with the positive response we have had from our volunteer community engagement to get this event up and running for 2025! Thank you to all the parents and carers who have generously offered their time to support the hosting of this lunch time club this year.

Our first Pranzo Italiano Club will be held on Monday 31st March from 11:40am-12:25pm. The students will be participating in this club in their cross-age Amici Insieme groups. The Foundation students will be partnered with their big buddies during this club.

We will inform your child of their allocated Pranzo Italiano Club time, prior to the event. All students will be invited to participate in this club once throughout the year.

Grazie mille to Oliver Mann, who will be supporting Nancy in coordinating the volunteers, roster and preparation of this club.

NB: Dietary requirements/intolerances/allergies will be accommodated. If you have not yet informed the school of your child’s allergy, please do so as soon as possible.This club is not a substitute for lunch. Students will still eat their lunch in their own learning areas before the club, so please send lunch on your child’s allocated day.

Melbourne University Internship Project

On Tuesday 25th March, we welcomed Professor Matt Absalom and 30 first year Melbourne University Italian students to BSPS for a school tour. These students will participate in a Melbourne University Internship Project which will run for 5 weeks in Term 2! 

This project has been running at BSPS since 2019, and we are grateful for this wonderful collaboration with the University of Melbourne Italian department.

We look forward to supporting our students’ bilingual learning and 

strengthening our Italian bilingual program.
