Performing Arts
Celebrating creativity and encouraging students’ imaginations to soar through improvisation has been the main learning intention in Performing Arts in the senior classes.
The power of improvisation in Drama is exciting and rewarding to witness.
When there is no script to rely on, students take risks and embrace mistakes. They learn to generate ideas quickly, adapt to unexpected situations, and build on the contributions of others.
Improvisation is all about collaboration. Whether it’s responding to a scene, partner or adjusting to a new storyline. Active listening and working together to create something unique are an extremely valuable and important skill.
Most importantly, improvisation is fun! It allows our students to play, explore and laugh through the joy of spontaneous storytelling.
