Cross Country

We are looking forward to the School Cross Country Carnival on Wednesday 23rd April for an afternoon of physical activity and fun! Keep up your training over the school holidays.

If you were interested in starting in the ‘Runners Group’, please complete the Microsoft Forms Survey - https://forms.office.com/r/s6iqy6SY2R

As the students will be starting as a slightly staggered start time this year, it is most important that all students wishing to post a time to be considered for the District Cross Country Carnival are encouraged to sign up for the runners group. These students then start at the front of the pack on the cross country day.

On this day, all students are welcome to wear their full school sports uniform for the day and are encouraged to bring their house colours to change into in the break prior to the event.

We have a slightly amended course this year so please make yourself familiar with the new format. This has been done to minimise crossings of roads in our wonderful suburb. You are encouraged to have a few runs in the holidays if you would like. It should be a quick course of around 3km for our students.

Come and have a chat with the HPE staff if you would like to know more information about the day at this point in time.

Mountain Biking

Our scheduled race at Mt Cotton is happening on Friday 2 May. Details will be distributed to those students who signed up to attend. We are looking forward to the first race of the year.

Vicki Wilson Championship and boys open.

Teams have been training each Monday afternoon for our up coming tournament day.

Great to have 4 teams working toward our forthcoming competition on 13 May – Regional Round (Downey Park Netball Association).

District Sports Nominations

District and Regional sports are on offer at the moment. Details have been placed on the DayMapnotices for each of these. Students are encouraged to keep up to date with these opportunities by checking in with the daily notices each morning. If students are interested in attending  the below trial, they are welcome to come to the HPE staff room (at the sports hall) for further detail.
