Let us pray for peace: peace in the world and in each of our hearts (Pope Francis)

Gospel Reading

John 20:19-31

Thomas believes because he sees Jesus.

What did Jesus say when He first saw His disciples? Jesus said, “Peace be with you!”

He gave them a very special gift—the gift of peace.

Then, Jesus breathed on the disciples and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

These two gifts—peace and the Holy Spirit—help us follow Jesus by being loving, kind, and forgiving in our lives.

A prayer for Easter

Loving God,

As we celebrate the joy of Easter, we thank You for the gift of Jesus, who brings light, hope, and new life to the world.

May this season remind us to be people of kindness, to show compassion to others, and to always choose love.

Bless our school community— our students, staff, and families— and help us to grow in faith and friendship.

May the joy of Easter fill our hearts today and always.

Amen.

ANZAC Day

We thank the 3 /4K students and Ms Kurzel for leading us respectfully  in prayer to recognise those who served and sacrificed so we may enjoy our lives today. We thank Anne and John from the Clayton RSL for joining us.

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

While ANZAC Day remembers loss, the Church offers the message of hope and eternal life. In times of grief, Catholics look to the resurrection, trusting in God’s promise of new life.

Years  1 and 2 -St Peter’s Parish Mass

On Sunday, 4th May, Year 1 and 2 students are rostered to participate at the 9.00am Parish Mass. It  is  followed by  hosting a morning tea until 11.00am.  This is a wonderful initiative  to build partnerships between the families and students of St Peter’s primary school with the parishioners of St Peter’s Parish Church. This is  a school expectation  and brings us together as a Parish and School Community. It is also an expectation that parents are with their children during the Mass.

The students will be involved in a variety of jobs prior to Mass and after Mass so it is important that they are present by 8:50 am.  Families are invited to bring a plate of morning tea to share with parishioners.

Please bring the shared morning tea on a disposable plate or in a clearly named container to the parish hall before 9.00am. We ask no food containing nuts be brought.

Thank  you to Ms Shanika Perera and Mrs Jeanette Jose for volunteering to coordinate Morning Tea for us.

Please contact them to discuss what you will be providing for morning tea.

Mrs Jeanette Jose: 0431 949 078

We are looking forward to seeing all students and their families together.
