Grade 4 News

Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we come to the end of the year, we want to say how proud we are of our Year 4 students. They have worked hard, shown great effort, and made wonderful progress in their learning and friendships.
This year, our Year 4 cohort continued to grow and strengthen as a community. Students demonstrated flexibility, resilience, and maturity, supporting one another and building positive relationships throughout the year.
We also shared some fantastic highlights together. Students enjoyed our visit to the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), where they viewed artworks connected to their learning in Art. A very special highlight was our Sunnystones Camp, where students showed independence, teamwork, and confidence while creating lasting memories with their peers. The Colour Fun Run was another favourite event, filled with excitement, colour, and school spirit.
Throughout the year, students took part in many meaningful whole-school and year-level experiences. Harmony Day and NAIDOC Week gave students the opportunity to learn about and celebrate diversity, inclusion, and respect within our school community. Reading our class novel Race for Reconciliation throughout Term 4, further supported students’ understanding of different cultures and perspectives, building their understanding of the world and their place within it. Students also explored the importance of remembrance through ANZAC Day and Rememberence Day; making Anzac biscuits, connecting history with hands-on learning.
Thank you to all families for your continued support throughout the year. Your encouragement at home and strong partnership with teachers has played an important role in supporting student learning and wellbeing. We truly appreciate your ongoing support.
We wish all students a safe, happy holiday and a wonderful transition into Year 5!
