Term 4 PE

Foundation to Grade 2

Throughout Term 4, F-2 students have been continuing to learn and practice fundamental movement skills. These are the basic skills required to be able to engage in a wide range of sports and physical activities. This main skill we have focused on this term has been striking using bats, racquets and even our hands. Some examples of striking have included:

  • Striking a dodgeball using a cricket bat.
  • Striking a tennis ball using a tennis racquet.
  • Striking a downball using our hands.

This skill that we have been focusing on can be applied to a range of sports including Cricket, Tee-Ball, Tennis and Volleyball. As students progress through their time at Wimba PS they will get to apply striking to many different sports.
