Reflections on an Incredible Year at Wimba Primary School
As we come to the close of the 2025 school year, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on what has been an extraordinary and exciting year for our Wimba Primary School community.
This year marks our second year of opening, and what a remarkable journey it has been. Together, we have continued to build Wimba from the ground up—strengthening foundations, refining our practices, and growing a school culture that is grounded in connection, care and high expectations.
To Our Students
To our wonderful students — the heart of our school — the word proud hardly feels sufficient. You have embraced “The Wimba Way” with enthusiasm, resilience and kindness. Your focus, effort and willingness to challenge yourselves have been inspiring. We have watched you grow academically, socially and emotionally, and we are confident the skills and values you have developed this year will continue to shape you well into the future. Everything we do, both big and small, is for you. Keep reaching for the stars.
To Our Families
To our parents and carers, thank you for your ongoing partnership and trust. As a growing school, your support, encouragement and collaboration have been invaluable. The positive impact you have on your children’s learning and wellbeing, and on our wider school community, cannot be overstated. We are incredibly grateful to share this journey with you and to continue building strong connections together.
To Our Staff
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our dedicated and passionate staff.
- To our Education Support staff in classrooms, your commitment to student learning and wellbeing has been outstanding. The care, patience and encouragement you provide every day ensure our students feel safe, confident and supported.
- To our office and support staff, thank you for being the engine room of our school. Your professionalism, compassion and willingness to support students, families and staff alike ensure Wimba runs smoothly each and every day.
- To our teachers, thank you for your inspiring teaching, engaging learning experiences and the meaningful relationships you have built with students. Your impact extends far beyond the classroom and will remain with our students for years to come.
To our leadership team, including Assistant Principals, Learning Specialists, Leading Teachers and Team Leaders, thank you for your courageous leadership and unwavering focus on learning and wellbeing. Your dedication behind the scenes and in visible leadership roles has been instrumental in shaping the strong culture we continue to grow.
The positive culture and reputation emerging at Wimba Primary School are no accident. They are the result of a shared moral purpose, collaboration and a deep commitment to giving every student opportunities to succeed in learning and in life.
As we look ahead, I am filled with excitement for what the future holds. I look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2026 as we continue to grow, learn and thrive together.
I wish all Wimba families a safe, joyful and restful break over the festive season.
Warm regards,
Paul
