Welcome and Who's Who

Welcome back to Ardlethan Central School for 2026! As Assistant Principal, I warmly welcome all our students and families—especially those new to our school community—into what we know will be a positive year of learning. It has been wonderful catching up with students about their holidays and seeing so many happy faces back at school.

To support our sun safety expectations, students have been provided with school bucket hats. We strongly encourage hats to be kept at school so they are always available. Please remember: “No hat, play in the shade.” This helps us keep everyone safe during breaks, sport and outdoor learning.

We are also running our Play Is the Way program first thing each morning as part of our regular routine. This supports the development of fundamental movement skills, as well as social and emotional learning through game-based instruction. Students also participate in additional movement breaks and fitness activities throughout the day, so please ensure students come to school wearing appropriate footwear to support safe and active participation.

All K–6 students have an active subscription and access to Reading Eggs, Mathseeds, and Mathletics. These programs can also be used from home for extra practise, should you choose to utilise them at home. Passwords and student login details will be sent home shortly. More information is available in the Literacy and Numeracy section of this newsletter.
